Sometimes the stars align – Our Center Parcs partnership, by Luke Chadwick

I believe our partnership with Center Parcs is a match made in heaven! Two like-minded organisations coming together to deliver memorable experiences to both children and families to create memories that will last a lifetime. I love Center Parcs and have been going for years from way back to when my children were toddlers to now when they are young adults and my wife and children have as much fun there now as we did 20 years ago!

It was on a visit there some four years ago now not long after coming on board with the Football Fun Factory while playing and winning, I may add a game of short tennis against my youngest son that I thought how amazing it would be if the FFF sessions could run here adding even more to the wonderful activities that were already happening. I knew we had to try and make it happen and that’s exactly what we did!

I sent a couple of speculative emails trying to get in touch with the right person and before I knew it I was sitting on a zoom call introducing the Football Fun Factory and discussing how we could potentially work together. Now timing is everything in life and it just so happened that Center Parcs were looking to add more football programmes and revamp their programmes which was super exciting news!

After a little delay during Covid, we were ready to start a one-month trial period at Elveden Forest with superstar head coach Kyle delivering the programmes and what a job he did with children and families having a wonderful time and the feedback was incredibly positive. And within weeks we got the news we wanted and fully expected, the programmes were going to be rolled out at all the villages, five in the UK and one in Ireland. It was go time!

The success the partnership has seen since has been astronomical with the Football Fun Factory programmes being voted the number one activity at Center Parcs which makes us so proud. But of course, enormous credit for this has to go to the amazing Center Parcs team who now deliver all the programmes and our very own super Jonny Martin who trains the staff the FFF way. This partnership now sees hundreds of children enjoying the programmes on a daily basis at all the Center Parcs villages which is what it’s all about.

My family and I are off on our annual visit in a couple of weeks time and it doesn’t matter how many times I see the sessions running it always seems a bit surreal that the idea turned into a reality!
