2024 was a pivotal year in the growth of Head Coaches at the Football Fun Factory. An incredible 44 new Head Coaches joined our team as franchisees, running their own football coaching business in their local communities, having a hugely positive impact on local children and families, and offering our truly unique football programmes.
I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know every one of them, guiding them through the discovery phase to see if our opportunities could be right for them and if they are the right fit for The FFF. I’m incredibly grateful that I get to meet passionate football coaches on a daily basis hearing about their love for the game and developing children through it.
In 2024 we had coaches join us from a multitude of different industries from school teachers, lorry drivers, the corporate world and many, many more. But the one thing they all have in common is a love for coaching children’s football. It’s incredible how many people I speak to who’s coaching journey begins with being roped in as a volunteer when their child or family member joins a team and then falls in love with it, they catch the coaching bug and can’t get enough of it. And that’s why they get in contact with us, because they want it to become their career.
A massive driver of the Football Fun Factory from its creation has been to offer more opportunities for football coaches to work in the game full-time. With so little opportunity to earn a sustainable living from the game and so much passion for the game out there, we wanted to be able to offer something that gives the right people a chance to not only do what they love every day but also have the autonomy to do it on their terms running their very own franchise with us with them every step of the way supporting them build, develop, and grow with them a thriving business to allow them to earn a fantastic living!
Now don’t get me wrong having 44 new Head Coaches join our team is fantastic but only if they are the right people for our organisation, the right people to represent our brand and make it stronger and that’s why we go through a rigorous process to make sure we are right for each other. We spend time on Zoom calls, they come and visit us in Cambridge and deliver a session so we can see them coach and only then is a two-way decision made if we will move forward and build a franchise together.
2024 was without a doubt a great year but we’re still a very young organisation and only just getting started and our ambition is huge. So with plans in place for a mega 2025 and beyond our aim remains the same to become the world’s leading football coaching organisation seeing hundreds of thousands of children enjoying our programmes. Still, a huge amount of work to do to get there but we’re moving forward and gathering momentum!
